Ingredients

1.5 cups of basmati rice

2 cups of cut tomatoes

2 cups of peas

3 tablespoons of oil

1 stick of cinnamon

1 teaspoon of turmeric

2 teaspoon salt

1.5 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 red chilli stick

1 teaspoon black pepper

3 cups of water

1/4 cups of cilantro

Directions

Wash and soak the basmati rice for 5 minutes and then remove the water.



Cut the tomatoes in small square pieces.



Pour the oil in a saute pan.



When the oil becomes hot, add the cumin seeds, cinnamon and red chilli stick. Wait till the cumin seeds are cracked.



Add the basmati rice, tomatoes and peas. Roast for 10 minutes and stir continuously on low flame.



Meanwhile, add the salt and black pepper.



After 10 minutes, add water and stir thoroughly.



Close the lid. Cook for 15 minutes on medium low flame.



When basmati rice is cooked, completely relish with cilantro.
